Special Partnerships



    Whiteman is very grateful for, and appreciative of, the help and interest of community partners.  Our student's lives are enriched by the generosity of these organizations and individuals.


PALS  -  (Partners and Learners = Success)  -  Provide mentors for our students.  Fred Patterson organizes this group and helps us in so many other ways.

Stepping’ Out For Kids  -  Provided back-to-school clothes for our students.

King Sooper’s Sharing Tree Elves  -  Provided holiday gifts for our students.

Rocky Mountain Children’s Choir  -  Comes once a week to work with our 1st graders.

Susan Renick  -  Volunteers her time to help our refugee students and families adjust to their new country.  She helps with everything from registration to appointments.

William F. Smith  -  Mr. Smith sponsors the Smith Award for newcomer students who have shown excellence in academics and character.

Comcast/VH1 Save-The-Music  -  Provided instruments for our school.

Rose Medical Community  -  Provided shoes for our students.

Carmel Hill  -  Provided the school with a grant for literacy to include the Accelerated Reader and English-In-A-Flash Reading programs, computers,
                        library leveling, and professional development for our staff.

Mayfair Park Neighbors  -  Our neighbors have helped us in so many ways with big projects, like laying turf for the soccer field, to being classroom volunteers.

Swallow Hill  -  Provided our students with an assembly of international music.

DFAS Members and Friends  -  Provide our students with Pals and have remodeled our office.  Ken Cowin from this group runs our chess club.

District #3 Police & Friends  -  Provided our students with a book fund and came to read with our students.

Jewish Women’s Group  -  Provided our students with a fairytale theater experience.

Windsor Gardens Optimist Club  -  Gives our students citizenship awards every marking period.

GLFC  -  (Gay and Lesbian Fund of Colorado)  Gave us the start up funding for our visual arts classroom.

Denver Broncos  -  Provided our students with library furniture and a grant for books.

Rite Aid  -  Provided our students with school supplies.

Target  -  Gives the school a percentage of purchases by friends of Whiteman.

Pepsi  -  Gives the school a percentage from the staff water and soda machines.

Scholastic Books -  Gives our school library a percentage of the book fair sales.

Whiz Kids  -  Offers our students tutoring on Monday nights.

SCFD  -  This special funding has allowed our students to visit musuems, historic sites, artistic programs, and to enjoy many enriching experiences.

LifeTouch  -  This company takes our school pictures and gives the school a percentage of the sales.
